Scott Knudsen is not your ordinary 5th generation Texas cowboy with a business degree from Tarleton State University in Stephensville, TX. He has been struck by lightning (in his head, out of his hand), played a mixed doubles tennis tournament at the LA Forum with Billy Jean King and Martina Navratilova for Yonex, and became an award-winning national sales rep for a Fortune 50 company. Married with one daughter, Scott and his family live near Fredericksburg, TX. Scott hosts the weekly Cowboy Entrepreneur Ⓡ show, which broadcasts worldwide on a dozen platforms—from iHeart to Spotify to Apple—and is featured on EQUINE NETWORK’S Horse Radio Network. In late summer, Scott will be filming an autobiography called LIGHTNING K RANCH (working title), where his life story will be brought to life on the Big Screen detailing his lightning survival story and the impact of Traumatic Brain Injury, Faith, and the power of family in this made-for-all drama by Award-Winning Producer, Rodney Stone! In August, he will release his upcoming book: YOU CAN’T CRACK THAT EGG TWICE, Sage Advice from a Real Texas Cowboy. On deck for later in the Fall is Scott’s second book, SOVEREIGN REIN, A Collection of 14 Real-Life Cowboy Stories. Scott contributes to Performance Horse Digest, a National Publication with over 400,000 Print and Online Subscribers. Plus, an American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Professional Horseman and AQHA Ambassador. Scott is a Keynote Speaker and regular on the National CHRIST OVER CAREER Tour.

There’s a story behind our Lightning K Ranch brand, and we’d like to share it with you: My family and I were down at the barn on our daughter’s first birthday when out of nowhere, I was struck by lightning while holding my one-year-old daughter down through my head and out the very arm and hand I had my daughter in.
Living through such a one-in-a-million event puts life and what truly matters into perspective. We felt we needed to incorporate this symbol – the lightning strike – with a logo recognizing our family, and thus, our Lightning K Ranch brand was born.
